Camden, Burlington County Natives Believed Kidnapped After Shocking 20-Year Mystery: FBI

A young couple walked out of a South Street bar in Philadelphia on a chilly February night—and vanished.

Danielle Imbo, 34, of Mount Laurel, NJ, and Richard “Rich” Petrone, 35, originally of Cherry Hill, NJ, were last seen on Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005, leaving the bar to head toward Petrone’s black 2001 Dodge Dakota pickup truck. They never made it home. The truck, bearing Pennsylvania plates YFH 2319, disappeared along with them.

Now, two decades later, the FBI still believes the couple was kidnapped.

“Today marks a somber 20 years since this tragic disappearance, and their case exemplifies that the passage of time does not diminish our pursuit of justice,” Wayne A. Jacobs, Special Agent in Charge of FBI Philadelphia, said in a statement.

Imbo, a separated mother at the time of her disappearance, lived in Mount Laurel and worked as a loan mortgage processor. Petrone, who resided in Philadelphia, worked at his family’s bakery. The two had been involved in what family and friends described as an "on-again, off-again" romantic relationship.

The case has baffled investigators. No confirmed sightings, no phone activity, and no signs of a struggle—just two people and a truck erased from existence. Authorities suspect foul play and believe someone has information that could crack the case wide open.

Imbo was last seen wearing a dark jacket, cream-colored sweater, and blue jeans. She has a tattoo of flowers on her lower back and carried a black purse.

Petrone was wearing a gray Polo sweatshirt and blue jeans. His tattoos include the word “Angela” on his left arm and clowns on his right arm.

The FBI is offering a $15,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for their disappearance.
